CLEARFIELD – Area residents will have a chance to satisfy their fair food cravings one more time later this fall.
A fall fair food court will be held Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Oct. 8-10 at the Clearfield County Fairgrounds, according to Fair Manager Greg Hallstrom.
The food court will be open each day from 11 a.m. – 9 p.m. in the grove area, Hallstrom said, and a complete food vendor list will be released at later date.
Hallstrom said it’s been a rough fair and carnival season for food vendors due to the COVID-19 crisis, and numerous event cancellations have left many setting up outside area businesses and in parking lots.
“But for some, that’s not an option,” he said. Following the cancellation of the 160th Clearfield County Fair, the board organized a special fair food court, Aug. 2-8. “And the vendors were so grateful.”
Because that event was well-received and attended by the public, Hallstrom said the board wanted to offer a “condensed version” to help out food vendors once again before season’s end.
Craft & Vendor Show
On Friday and Saturday, Oct. 9-10, Hallstrom said a craft and vendor show will be held in the cattle barns, from 12 p.m. – 7 p.m. Admission is free.
He said booths will be spaced out to allow vendors and patrons to practice social distancing and other public health guidelines set forth by the Pennsylvania Department of Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Protection.

Classic Car, Truck and Motorcycle Show
Also, on Saturday, Oct. 10, Hallstrom said the seventh annual classic car, truck and motorcycle show will be held on the carnival lot. All proceeds will benefit the Wounded Warrior Project.
“It will be a busy place for three days,” Hallstrom said, “but everything is going to be spaced out throughout the fairgrounds. We’re really excited and hoping the craft and auto shows bring in more people.”
