COOPER TOWNSHIP – State police say a fire that damaged a house in Cooper Township on Friday has been ruled accidental.
The Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshal and Grassflat Fire Department investigated a two-story residential structure fire at 1731 Main St., Winburne, Cooper Township, Clearfield County, that occurred at 4 p.m. on Friday, July 17.
Upon completion of the investigation, it was determined that the fire was accidental in nature.
The cause of the fire was due to an overloaded electric circuit/overheated wiring. The estimated damage totaling $75,000.
