CLEARFIELD – The Clearfield County Commissioners addressed several items of business during Tuesday’s regular board meeting.
Under the solicitor’s report, the county approved a stipulation agreement regarding the Wolf River Run Associates (Tractor Supply) commercial tax appeal, in Lawrence Township.
Solicitor Heather Bozovich said the original assessment on the property was $363,915; after appraisals and with the county’s approval, the new value would be $225,700.
She said the township’s board of supervisors has executed the stipulation agreement, and the Clearfield Area School District is expected to at its June 22 meeting.
Bozovich said it’s also been approved by Wolf River Run Associates, and she recommended approval of the agreement, which the commissioners did 3-0.
In other business, the commissioners:
- approved a request for proposals for title abstracting and insurance services for the county’s Farmland Preservation Program.
- approved a five-year grant agreement with the Department of Agriculture for the State Food Purchase Program that’s administered by Central Pennsylvania Community Action Inc. to assist low-income individuals.
- approved a lease agreement with St. Francis Catholic School to utilize its cafeteria as a temporary polling location for Clearfield Borough, Second Ward, for the June 2 Primary Election.
- approved resolution 2020 No. 3 and purchase of service agreements with seven people in lieu of the sheriff to make personal service on owner-occupied properties.
- approved liquid fuel allocations to Irvona Borough, $3,000; Boggs Township, $4,382.56; Decatur Township, $5,139.03; Lawrence Township, $10,721.13; and Woodward Township, $4,369.47.
- approved one new hire and one employee separation/retirement.
- approved the bills as presented by the Controller’s office. The controller was also authorized to pay all regular bills through June 9.
- approved the minutes from the May 12 meeting as presented by the chief clerk.
- announced the cancellation of the June 2 workshop meeting due to the Primary Election.
