CLEARFIELD – The administration at the Clearfield Area Elementary School (CAES) is looking to feature local “citizen celebrities” during its online morning announcements to students.
Since it’s been shut down by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the school has posted its announcements on Facebook, which consist of a message from Principal Ken Veihdeffer, the pledge, weather and birthdays.
Plus, there’s always something “just for fun.”
To that end, administrators realize the students not only miss their “school family,” but also their “Clearfield family,” and are inviting “citizen celebrities” to read stories aloud, do sing-alongs, simple craft demonstrations, provide fun facts, etc.
“It may be as simple as a greeting,” said Superintendent Terry Struble, “… We’re wide open to whatever your imagination can provide, and the greater the variety, the better.”
To participate, please e-mail CAES Assistant Principal Jennifer Gaston at jgaston@clearfield.org with your name and a description of your video plans/ideas to be placed on the school’s announcement schedule.
