SANDY TOWNSHIP – A Minnesota man is facing felony and misdemeanor charges for assaulting three employees of a local bus company, Sandy Township police say.
Archie Ray Hagger, 29, of Minneapolis, Minn., is charged with three felony counts of aggravated assault; three misdemeanor counts of simple assault; and four summaries.
The charges stem from an incident that occurred Monday at Fullington Trailways, according to a news release issued by the police department.
Witnesses told police that Hagger called a female employee over to him because he claimed to have something to show her on his cell phone.
As she approached him, Hagger allegedly started striking her in the face. A male employee heard the female screaming and attempted to push Hagger away.
He was then assaulted by Hagger, who allegedly started to strike him and knocked him to the ground. At that point, a third employee tackled Hagger and eventually pinned him down, police say.
Upon arrival, police took Hagger into custody without further incident. All three employees were taken by ambulance to Penn Highlands for treatment of “severe injuries,” according to the release.
Police say Hagger was transported by police to the hospital for medical clearance, and then he was housed in the Clearfield County Jail. He’s being held in lieu of $75,000 bail.
