State police at Clearfield
- State police received a report about an incident of harassment that occurred Saturday on Hudson Street in Decatur Township. During the incident, a 56-year-old Munson man allegedly fought with a 67-year-old Philipsburg woman over a bottle of vodka. Charges were filed through the district court.
- State police received a report about an incident of criminal mischief that occurred between Feb. 1 and Feb. 24 on Miriam Street in Ramey Borough. During the incident, someone allegedly damaged a Hyundai HL-740-9 TM loader and broom truck when they threw something at the windows. Damage is estimated at approximately $475. - State police received a report about a theft that occurred Feb. 25 on Small Street in Gulich Township. According to state police, the victim received a phone call from someone claiming their grandson was involved in a crash and was at fault for hitting a pregnant woman. They were directed to purchase a Money Pak gift card from Dollar General for $500 and to call back with the card information, which they did. Afterwards, the victim realized it was a scam.
- State police conducted a traffic stop for window tint that resulted in a DUI incident Friday in the area of the Clearfield-Shawville Highway and Supercenter Drive in Lawrence Township. During the stop, a 35-year-old Curwensville man was allegedly found to be driving under the influence of alcohol and a controlled substance. Charges are currently pending through the district court.
- State police received a report about an incident of harassment that occurred Feb. 21 on Walton Street in Decatur Township. During the incident, two male juveniles were allegedly involved in a physical altercation. One juvenile, state police say, also punched the other juvenile’s father’s vehicle window, causing damage. Both juveniles were cited for the incident through the district court.
State police at Rockview
- State police reported an incident of DUI that occurred Saturday on West Sycamore Road and Mayes Lane in Snow Shoe Township, Centre County. According to state police, troopers checked on a vehicle that was pulled over with activated four-way lights. The driver, a 23-year-old Hawk Run man, was allegedly determined to be under the influence of alcohol, and he was subsequently placed under arrest.
- State police reported a drug violation occurred Feb. 18 on Philips Street in Philipsburg Borough, Centre County. During the incident, a 15-year-old juvenile male was allegedly found in possession of a vape pen with a THC cartridge on school property. Charges are expected to be filed through the district court.
Clearfield Borough
- Police received a report about an incident of harassment on East Locust Street that involved a male who wasn’t permitted at the residence. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
- Police received a report about the alleged theft of firewood on West Front Street.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of fraud, and the investigation is ongoing at this time.
- Police received a report about a possible incident of trespassing at a local residence. Upon arrival, police found the individual had locked their keys inside and that they gained entry through a window.
- While on patrol, police observed a male and female engaged in a verbal argument. When police attempted contact, the female reportedly fled. Police later located the male and female at their residence, the female was determined to have active warrants and was taken into custody. Police say the male was found in possession of multiple items of drug paraphernalia and controlled substances.
- Police responded to a motor vehicle crash on Bridge Street. No injuries were reported as a result, and both vehicles were driven from the scene.
- Police received a report about a “fender bender” on Nichols Street, and assisted both parties with the exchange of information.
- Police conducted a traffic stop on Bigler Avenue that resulted in the driver being arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence.
- Police received a report about a lost dog on South Fourth Street. Later, a Good Samaritan located the dog and assisted with the reunion of the animal/owner.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about a counterfeit money incident Thursday at the Dollar General store at the Clearfield Mall. According to police, surveillance video showed an unidentified African-American male making a purchase and using a fraudulent $50 bill. He was wearing black-colored Adidas track pants, a black hooded-sweatshirt and a black vest. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 814-765-1533 or 814-765-1647/48.
