State police at Clearfield
- State police received a report of criminal mischief that occurred Wednesday on Glen Hope Boulevard in Glen Hope Borough. During the incident, someone allegedly damaged a post office box outside the building. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police at 814-857-3800.
- State police reported a DUI occurred Monday on Viola Pike in Gulich Township. According to state police, while on-scene for a separate incident, a 33-year-old Ramey woman was found to be intoxicated. Troopers obtained nearby surveillance footage, which showed her driving up to the residence. She was subsequently arrested for DUI, and charges were filed through the district court.
- State police received a report about a Protection from Abuse violation that occurred Monday at a Viola Pike residence in Gulich Township. State police say a 33-year-old Ramey woman was found to be in violation of an active PFA order and was subsequently arrested.
State police at Rockview
- State police were requested to assist probation officers with a drug-related incident Feb. 21 at a South Second Street residence in Philipsburg Borough, Centre County. During a regulatory house check, officers allegedly found marijuana and related paraphernalia. As a result, charges are currently pending against a 19-year-old Munson man.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about a motor vehicle theft Monday in Hyde. During the incident, someone allegedly took a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado pick-up truck that is white in color with gray primer on the passenger side of its bed. The truck’s Pennsylvania registration is DV9-0249, and it was last seen in the Hyde area. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 814-765-1647 or 814-765-1533.
- Police reported that a drug violation occurred Wednesday at the Clearfield County Jail. According to police, Ray Ross Jr., 36, of Clearfield showed up for his scheduled preliminary hearing during centralized court. Per jail policy, he was asked to empty his pockets, as he entered into a secured area. At that time, police say he accidentally dropped a used syringe from his pants pocket. Ross allegedly attempted to conceal the syringe but upon command, he turned it over to authorities. Upon further investigation, it was learned Ross had used the syringe the previous day and left it in his pocket. Charges were filed against Ross through the district court.
