CLEARFIELD – The Clearfield Area School District is looking to tie up one last loose end in its teacher’s contract settlement, reported Superintendent Terry Struble at Monday’s school board meeting.
Struble said the position involves a supplemental band position that was filled by a volunteer. However, he said the new contract recognizes the position as paid and it was retroactive to July 1, 2019.
He said the board is now being asked to consider a Memorandum of Understanding with the Clearfield Education Association (CEA/PSEA-NEA) that, if approved, would pay the person for work done this past fall and moving forward.
Struble also advised board members that he e-mailed proposed changes to the program of studies at the Clearfield Area Junior-Senior High School campus. He asked members to review the changes and to contact him with any questions so they can be addressed now.
At next week’s regular voting meeting, the board will also consider revisions to the 2019-20 academic calendar, 11 appointments and four resignations and four field trip requests.
It will also consider approval of the Bison and Lady Bison Diamond Clubs for 2019-20, and revisions to Policy 913 for non-school organizations, groups and individuals and the addition of administrative regulations.
The board’s voting meeting will be held on Monday night, Feb. 24, beginning at 6 p.m. in the library at the Clearfield Area Junior-Senior High School.
