State police at Clearfield
- State police conducted a traffic stop that resulted in a drug-related DUI on Sunday in the area of the Clearfield – Woodland Highway and Barrett Road in Bradford Township. During the stop, it was determined that a 37-year-old West Decatur man was allegedly driving under the influence and in possession of drugs and paraphernalia. Charges are currently pending at this time.
- State police reported an incident of DUI occurred Sunday in the area of Hardscrabble and Schoolhouse roads in Morris Township. During a traffic stop, a 39-year-old Portage man was allegedly found to be under the influence of alcohol. Charges will be filed through the district court.
- State police reported a drug-related DUI Saturday in the 300 block of Bannon Road in Bigler Township. During a traffic stop, a 28-year-old Houtzdale man was allegedly determined to be driving under the influence of a controlled substance. Charges are currently pending at this time.
- State police conducted a traffic stop that resulted in a DUI and drug violation Friday in the area of Curtin and French streets in Osceola Borough. Upon further investigation, it was found that a 47-year-old Morrisdale woman was allegedly driving under the influence and also in possession of a controlled substance and paraphernalia. Charges are currently pending at this time.
- State police reported that a 22-year-old Curwensville man was arrested Friday on Bressler Road for allegedly being in possession of drug paraphernalia.
State police at DuBois
- State police reported an incident of DUI occurred Friday on West Weber Avenue in DuBois City. During a traffic stop, a 50-year-old Brockport man allegedly showed signs of impairment and was determined to be under the influence of alcohol. Charges are expected to be filed through the district court.
- State police received a report about a theft Feb. 5 on Vo Tech Road in Winslow Township, Jefferson County. During the incident, a juvenile allegedly took another juvenile’s cell phone from their belt without permission; the juvenile offender refused to give it back to the juvenile victim. State police say the cell phone was recovered and returned to the victim.
- State police received a report about a theft that occurred sometime Jan. 31 on Main Street in Falls Creek Borough, Jefferson County. According to state police, the perpetrator entered the laundromat, flipped over a washing machine, pulled a strip of oak trim from the wall, removed a rug from the floor and attempted to open a change machine by smashing the lock with a fire extinguisher. As a result, charges were filed for criminal mischief and theft through the district court.
State police at Rockview
- State police received a report about a noise complaint Sunday on North Front Street in Philipsburg Borough, Centre County. Upon investigation, an 18-year-old Philipsburg man was allegedly found in possession of a small amount of marijuana and related paraphernalia. Charges are currently pending at this time.
- State police conducted a traffic stop that resulted in a drug violation Feb. 5 in the area of Curtin Street and Water Aly in Osceola Borough, Clearfield County. During the stop, Gary Klinger, 24, of Osceola Mills was found to have warrants in Centre County. He was also allegedly in possession of marijuana and paraphernalia as related to marijuana and methamphetamine use.
- State police received a report about an attempted burglary and theft from a motor vehicle that occurred Jan. 27 on North Front Street in Rush Township, Centre County. There aren’t any investigative leads at this time and anyone with information is asked to contact state police at 814-355-7545.
- State police investigated a drug-related DUI Sunday in Philipsburg Borough, Centre County. Charges are currently pending at this time.
State police at Punxsutawney
- On Jan. 29, state police received a Childline report about suspected child abuse that occurred between Sept. 1, 2019 and Dec. 25, 2019 on Main Street in Burnside Borough. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about a bad check on Jan. 4. According to police, a 58-year-old Clearfield woman wrote a bad check to the victim. An officer made contact with her and an attempt to collect a certified money order to pay full restitution for the bad check. The investigation is currently pending.
