CLEARFIELD – A Clearfield man was jailed after state parole officers allegedly found methamphetamine and other drugs at his home.
Police were responding to a report that Zachary Albert Quigley, 34, was selling meth from a black shoebox-sized box when they arrived at his Turnpike Avenue apartment Monday.
Quigley agreed to a search of his home where officers found the box, which contained a baggie of suspected methamphetamine, a digital scale and drug paraphernalia, according to the criminal complaint. Additional drugs and related items were also allegedly found.
Quigley was charged by Lawrence Township Police Tuesday with 14 felony counts of intentional possession of a controlled substance by person not registered, felony manufacture/delivery/possession with intent to manufacture or deliver a controlled substance, seven misdemeanor counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, and misdemeanor make repairs/sell/etc. offensive weapon.
He is being held in the county jail in lieu of $50,000 bail.
The affidavit of probable cause details how the officers discovered a large Ziploc bag with more suspected meth in a closet before they found a hidden room where a color torch was sitting on a cardboard box.
A white sock on the nightstand was reportedly found to contain another bag of suspected meth as well as a Ziploc baggie filled with small baggies and a bag with four Clonazepam pills.
In the living room, they allegedly found another color torch, a Tylenol bottle containing three Ritalin pills and a stun gun as well as a club-shaped flashlight.
Online court documents indicate that Quigley pleaded guilty to drug charges in February of 2016 when he was sentenced to one to five years in state prison.
Quigley is scheduled for a preliminary hearing Feb. 12 at 11 a.m. during centralized court before District Judge James Glass.
