JOHNSONBURG – Playing back to back road games in consecutive nights didn’t bother the Curwensville girls basketball team as it bumped off Johnsonburg Friday night, winning on the Ramettes home floor 45-24.
The Lady Tide cruised to a 27-9 halftime lead and then outscored the Ramettes 14-3 in the third eight minutes to win by a very comfortable margin.
Curwensville made five three pointers with freshman Skylar Pentz knocking down two from beyond the arc.
Briana Swindell led the Lady Tide with 13 points while Emma King had six for Johnsonburg.
There was no junior varsity game.
Next up for Curwensville (4-13) will be a home game against the Lady Cardinals of DuBois Central Catholic on Tuesday night with the JV battle starting at 6 pm and the varsity to immediately follow.
In early January DCC defeated Curwensville in DuBois, 73-32.
