CLEARFIELD – A new support group will help parents with addicted loved ones in Clearfield.
Through education and support, the Parents of Addicted Loved Ones (PAL) Support Group is designed to provide hope to families of adult children suffering from addiction.
The support group will meet Mondays, from 5:45 p.m. – 7:15 p.m., at the Hyde Wesleyan Church, beginning Feb. 3. The church is located at 1215 Riverview Rd., Clearfield.
These free, weekly meetings will offer education and peer-to-peer support on topics like the addiction cycle, enabling behaviors, delayed emotional growth, role of the family, setting realistic boundaries, emotional detachment, financial strings, steps to recovery and recognizing relapse. Participants must be 18 years or older to attend.
