CURWENSVILLE – Brockway completed the two game season sweep over the Curwensville Lady Tide Friday night, winning 51-33 at Patton Hall in Curwensville.
The Lady Rovers knocked off Curwensville at Brockway earlier this season, 63-21.
The Lady Tide did hang tight with Brockway through the first eight minutes, trailing just 14-11 heading into quarter number two.
The night, however, belonged to the Lady Rovers’ Morgan Lindemuth who led all scorers with a game high 26 points that included five three-pointers.
Brockway showed its dominance in the second, outscoring Curwensville 14-4 to take a 28-15 halftime edge.
The Lady Tide didn’t quit though, taking the third quarter 10-9.
The Lady Rovers bounced back in the final frame with a 14-8 margin over Curwensville to get the 18 point victory.
Alyssa Bakaysa paced the Lady Tide offense with 11 points while Danielle Wood helped the Brockway cause with 15 points.
Brockway was also victorious in the junior varsity contest, defeating the Lady Tide 35-15. High scorer for the Lady Tide was Kyra Henry and Alyssa Bakaysa each with five tallies.
The Lady Tide (3-11) take a short trip to Clearfield on Monday for its next game to battle the Lady Bison. JV tips off at 6 pm with the varsity to immediately follow.
Clearfield knocked off the Lady Tide the first time they played this season, over Christmas week, at Curwensville, 49-16.
