Clearfield Borough
- Police received a report about a suspicious male at a Williams Street residence. According to police, he showed up, knocked on the door and asked for someone who didn’t live there. Afterwards, the male left but came back asking for the same person about a half-hour later; he left again and police were unable to locate him.
- Lawrence Township police were assisted with a vehicular pursuit in the Hyde area. Â As a result, police say one male was taken into custody.
- Police responded to an activated alarm at a church located on North Second Street. Â Upon arrival on-scene, it was found that everything was OK, and police contacted a keyholder to deactivate the alarm.
- Police received a report about a psychological emergency at a North Fifth Street residence.  Upon arrival on-scene, officers found that an intoxicated male and a female were involved in an argument. Because the male didn’t appear to have an emergency, police cleared the scene.
- Lawrence Township police were assisted with a psychological emergency at the Edgewood Apartments. Â Police say one male was taken into custody and to Penn Highlands for an evaluation.
- Police received a report about wires down at the intersection of South Sixth Street and Cambria Drive. Upon arrival on-scene, a phone wire was found on the roadway, and it was safely removed.
- Police received a report about a possible psychological emergency in a parking lot on North Third Street. Upon arrival on-scene, police say a male was voluntarily transported to the hospital for an evaluation.
- Police reported that a wanted female arrived at the police station to retrieve items. According to police, she was wanted through the Clearfield County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies took the female into custody and to Clearfield County Jail.
- Police responded to a reported vehicle-versus-pedestrian accident at the intersection of Front and Market streets. Police say a female was transported to the hospital for medical treatment; the investigation is ongoing at this time.
- Police responded to a reported hit-and-run crash along North Second Street. According to police, a motorist struck another vehicle while parking and then fled the scene. Police obtained registration information, and the investigation is ongoing at this time.
- Police received a report about a male who was breaking items at a Williams Street residence. Upon arrival, police were able to handle the situation on-scene.
- Police assisted the Clearfield Fire Department with a CO2 alarm that was activated at an apartment complex along East Sixth Street.
- Police received a report about an erratic driver on Nichols Street. Police were unable to locate the vehicle, but say they have a suspect in the incident.
- Police received a report about a verbal altercation on Fulton Street. As a result, police say it was discovered a female had a warrant through the Lawrence Township police. Township officers arrived on-scene, and the female satisfied the warrant.
- Police reported that drug paraphernalia was found on Nichols Street. Upon arrival on-scene, police collected the paraphernalia.
Lawrence Township
- Police responded to a reported two-vehicle collision Wednesday along Washington Avenue at its intersection with McPherson Street in Hyde. According to police, a Chevrolet Equinox operated by 77-year-old Joseph F. Smay Sr. of Clearfield crossed the roadway, striking a Subaru Forester operated by 48-year-old Mark E. Wurster of Clearfield head-on. Both vehicles were towed from the scene, and Smay’s passenger suffered a minor injury. Police cited Smay for the collision.
- Police responded to a reported accident Friday in the parking lot at Good Tire, Clearfield. According to police, the operator of a large truck failed to raise its downrigger, and while it was in motion, it struck a 68-year-old Curwensville man who was off-loading tires from a parked vehicle. Police say the man suffered a leg injury and was taken by ambulance to Penn Highlands DuBois.
