KANE – The Curwensville girls basketball team made the long trek to Kane on Friday night to match up with the Lady Wolves. In the end Kane prevailed by a score of 49-23.
The Lady Tide hung tough in the first half, trailing just 9-6 after one period and only 19-12 at halftime.
Kane, however, found more offense and better defense in the second half, outscoring Curwensville 30-11 to pick up the victory.
Alyssa Bakaysa paced the Lady Tide offense with eight tallies.
Madison Stahl had 15 for Kane with Sarri Swanson adding 12 and Emily Bucheit chipping in with 10.
Kane won the junior varsity game to start the night, beating the Lady Tide 26-11. Skylar Pentz had six for Curwensville.
The Lady Tide (3-9) hit the road again on Tuesday with a journey to Ridgway to battle the Lady Elkers.
Ridgway beat Curwensville in mid-December 30-18. JV action begins at 6 pm with the varsity game to immediately follow.
