HUSTON TOWNSHIP – An early-morning fire caused approximately $500,000 worth of damage to a garage Thursday in Huston Township, Clearfield County.
The fire broke out at 5:06 a.m. at 7054 Bennetts Valley Hwy., according to Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshal Kathleen Watters.
The fire destroyed a 60×100 garage, Watters said, adding the structure and its contents were a total loss. She said it originated near the oil furnace, but the cause remains undetermined.
It was noted the garage was used to store a number of vehicles, boats, campers, etc. No one was injured, but Watters said four dogs perished in the fire.
