DUBOIS – The 2019 SHALOM Christmas concert will be held on Sunday, Dec. 22 at 2 p.m. in the DuBois Central Catholic First Commonwealth Performing Arts Center. Admission is free to the community.
The group SHALOM is comprised of Bart Foradora-vocal and guitar, Stanley Lang-vocal and bass, Sheri Lang, Maria Lang and Rich Kenawell-vocalists, Charlie Prescott-percussion, Edna Bloom- keyboard and wind instruments and Christopher Lang-violinist. Together, they use music as a conduit to reflect the glory of Christ.
Each year, SHALOM draws people into the Christmas story in a deeply worshipful and celebratory way. A season so holy deserves the best humble servants can offer, according to a school press release.
The concert features work written by a variety of contemporary artists. This year’s program also includes a new song written last month for the preparation for the season titled “You Came.” The music will lift up your soul with joy, the press release states.
