GRAMPIAN – The Grampian Lions Club has announced that it will hold its annual Christmas lighting contest Tuesday, Dec. 17.
Any resident who wishes to participate should turn their lighting on by 6 p.m. for judging. Registration isn’t required.
Judging will occur in four municipalities, including Grampian Borough as well as Penn, Bloom and Greenwood Townships.
Prizes will be awarded to the first-, second- and third-place winners in each municipality. Curwensville’s Lions Club will provide the judges.
Prizes will include gift certificates for the Grampian One Stop Convenience Store.
The contest has been an annual event for more than 40 years, and residents are asked to display lighting in the spirit of Christmas.
