LTE: Good Samaritan Center CEO Thankful After Successful Men Who Cook Fundraiser Event

Dear Editor:

I want to thank GANT News and the Greater Clearfield Chamber of Commerce for co-sponsoring the area’s first “Men Who Cook” event that benefited the Good Samaritan Center.

The fundraiser was a huge success and raised $2,000 for the men’s shelter in Clearfield.

I particularly want to thank the community leaders and businessmen for all their hard work and time that they put in to showcase their delicious culinary creations at the event.

The funds the chefs raised in their tip jars, from the audience voting on their favorite dishes, was incredible.

I would also like to thank the following area businesses, which donated cooking items and gift certificates for the Chinese auction that helped to raise so much money at the event.

These include:

Finally, I would like to thank all the people who came out and supported this great event.  I appreciate your generous donations including non-perishable food items.

I’m thankful for the continued support and help from our community.

Sincerely,

Douglas K. Bloom

Chief Executive Officer
