CURWENSVILLE – Curwensville Rescue Hose & Ladder Company and Emergency Medical Services are hosting a one-day “Stuff the Truck” event Nov. 9 during “Home for the Holidays” in Curwensville.
The public is encouraged to bring a new, unused toy to donate to the Toys for Tots Foundation. Donations will benefit Clearfield County children in need and make this year’s Christmas season unforgettable.
Last year, Toys for Tots served over 2,000 children within the Clearfield County region, and is expecting about the same if not more this year, according to event organizers.
“However, their funds and toy supplies have dwindled down, and [Toys for Tots] is in need of major support to keep serving the communities within the county,” organizers said.
Although the drive will take place from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 9, donations will also be gladly accepted prior to the start of the event.
“So, bring any donations to Rescue Hose & Ladder Fire and EMS Department in Curwensville,” organizers said, adding “let’s get this ambulance patient compartment stuffed as full as we can.”
For more information or questions, please contact Josh Waldeck, event coordinator, at the station at 814-236-2960, between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
