Clearfield Borough
- Police assisted a motorist who locked his keys inside his truck. An officer was able to unlock the truck.
- Police arrested a male for reportedly trespassing at a Nichols Street residence. He also had active warrants for his arrest.
- Police received a report about two juveniles engaged in a fight in the area of the Clearfield Driving Park and Skate Park. The incident remains under further investigation.
- Police were requested to assist emergency personnel at a South Third Street residence. According to police, an elderly woman had fallen inside her home and all the doors were locked. However, officers were able to enter through a window to unlock the doors. Emergency personnel then transported the woman to the Penn Highlands Clearfield Hospital.
- Police received reports twice about a suspicious female in the area of East Pine Street. She was directed to return to her residence, which she did.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about a domestic disturbance Thursday at a Rocky Lane residence. During the incident, a 36-year-old Clearfield man allegedly shoved a woman against a wall and yelled threats and profanities at her. He’ll be cited for disorderly conduct and harassment as a result of the incident.
- Police were notified by Clearfield Borough officers that a wanted male, identified as 34-year-old Terry Smith of Grampian, was in their custody Thursday on Nichols Street. After police received confirmation, Smith was taken into custody by township police, and then to the magistrate’s office for arraignment. Smith was housed in county jail on the warrant.
- Police responded to a hit-and-run crash Tuesday in the area of River and Alliance roads in Clearfield. According to police, a driver was negotiating a left-hand curve westbound and lost control of their vehicle. It reportedly struck a Ford truck in the 9 o’clock position while it was traveling eastbound on River Road, and fled the scene. Minor damage and no injuries were reported, and the truck was driven from the scene.
DuBois City
- Police conducted multiple traffic stops Monday that resulted in warnings.
- Police received a report about a stolen Amazon package on Monday. According to police, a female received information from her local post office that indicated her package was delivered Oct. 2. However, she said she never received the package. Police don’t have any suspects at this time.
- Police received a report about a phone scam on Monday. According to police, a female was contacted by a male claiming to work for a tech company. She was told she overpaid for software, and he wanted to issue her a refund. She recognized this was a scam and didn’t provide any information.
- Police received a report about a disturbance Monday at the DuBois City Park Amphitheater. Upon arrival, contact was made with a female who said she was only on-stage singing. Police didn’t observe anyone in the area who would have been disturbed, and the female apologized for any inconvenience.
