State police at Punxsutawney
- State police received a report about a theft that occurred Sunday on Route 119 in Young Township, Jefferson County. According to state police, an unidentified African-American male arrived at Wal-Mart and used the victim’s credit card. He allegedly spent $1,081.90; then, he left in a blue sedan. He’s described as being approximately 18-25 years old and wearing a dark and light blue jacket, blue jeans and white sneakers. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police at 814-938-0510.
- State police received a report about an abandoned vehicle on private property Oct. 11 on Heathville Ohl Road in Clover Township, Jefferson County. The vehicle was a 1998 green Buick Park Avenue, and it was towed from the scene.
Lawrence Township
- Police responded to a reported two-vehicle crash Wednesday at the intersection of the Bloomington-Glen Richey Highway and Caldwell Road in Lawrence Township. According to police, Tanya L. Baez, 48, of Clearfield traveled through the intersection to make a right turn. However, she failed to see a vehicle operated by Garret A. Rowles, 21, of Curwensville that was traveling in the same direction. As a result, her vehicle was subsequently struck by Rowles’ vehicle. No injuries were reported, and both vehicles were towed from the scene.
