CLEARFIELD – Share a recipe and help save lives.
Penn Highlands Clearfield is creating a cookbook to help raise money to add a 3D mammography suite to the hospital.
Also known as breast tomosynthesis, 3D is a newer type of mammogram where pictures are taken slice-by-slice for review.
Recipes can be submitted by Dec. 20 along with $5 per submission with checks made out to PH Clearfield and sent in care of Nancy Bowman, cookbook chairperson, 809 Turnpike Ave., Clearfield PA 16830.
Those who submit 10 recipes may have them listed as “in honor” or “in memory” of someone, too.
Shown getting her family recipes ready to give to Bowman, left, is Rhonda Halstead, president of Penn Highlands Clearfield.
