CLEARFIELD – The Child Advocacy Center of Clearfield County (CAC-CC) will benefit from another donation.
According to District Attorney William A. Shaw Jr., the Moshannon Valley Correctional Center, operated by the GEO Group Inc., recently donated $250 to the CAC-CC.
He thanked the center for its contribution. He said these funds will help with operational costs and to purchase supplies that the CAC-CC would otherwise not be able to obtain.
The CAC-CC is currently in the process of moving to a new location, he said, and these funds will help with purchasing child-friendly toys and furnishings for the larger space.
“The new building was purchased through the gracious support of Cen-Clear Child Services and its Board of Directors,” Shaw explained.
He said the CAC-CC would not be possible without the collaboration and support of the Clearfield County Multi-Disciplinary Investigative Team (MDIT) and community members.
The MDIT includes representatives from law enforcement; the District Attorney’s office;Â Children, Youth and Family Services; Cen-Clear; medical field; Victim Witness; The Crossroads Project; and Passages Inc.
Shaw said that anyone interested in supporting the CAC-CC should please contact: cac@cenclear.org.
