HUNTINGDON — Caden Irwin led the Clearfield Bison Junior Varsity football team to their first win of the season when he accounted for five touchdowns, three rushing and two passing, in the 40-0 blanking of the host Huntingdon Bearcats Monday evening.
From his quarterback position, Irwin scored on three short runs and added long scoring strikes to Max Paul-Cook for 67 yards and Logan Firanski for 84 yards.
To help preserve the shut out Shane Coudriet, Nate Natoli, and Nick Cowder recovered fumbles.
Jose Alban scored the final Bison touchdown on a six yard run.
The Bison (1-2) will host Central Mountain next Monday in their quest to get to .500.
