State police at Clearfield
- State police were requested by Crisis to serve a warrant on a 33-year-old Beccaria man Friday at a Muddy Run Road address in Gulich Township. During his transport, he allegedly made life-threatening statements concerning the victim, Penn Highlands employees and Pennsylvania State Police. He was subsequently lodged in county jail and arrested for terroristic threats and harassment.
State police at Punxsutawney
- State police received a report about an incident of child endangerment that occurred Aug. 9 on Route 119 in Henderson Township, Jefferson County. According to state police, a two-year-old girl wandered out into traffic. The investigation is continuing at this time.
- State police received a report about an incident of harassment Sept. 11 on Shephard Street in Westover Borough, Clearfield County. During the incident, an 18-year-old man and a 68-year-old man, both of Westover, got into a physical altercation. Both men were cited for the incident.
Clearfield Borough
- Police received a report about an incident of harassment, and warned the involved party of his actions.
- Police reported that a motorcyclist fled from officers. The investigation is continuing at this time.
- Police were dispatched to a reported burglary-in-progress on West Locust Street. According to police, a male was seen climbing through a window of a residence. Upon arrival on-scene, contact was made with the male who had permission to be there; however, he’d forgotten his keys.
- While on patrol, police attempted to stop a driver for suspicion of DUI on North Fourth Street. According to police, the vehicle fled and a pursuit ensued. It ended near the intersection of Dubeck Road and Route 153 when the vehicle hit spike strips set up by police. The driver was subsequently taken into custody. Lawrence Township and state police assisted with the incident.
- Police are investigating an alleged burglary incident on East 10th
- Police received a report about a male who had fallen on the sidewalk on South Third Street. According to police, the caller said the male was unconscious and had lost a substantial amount of blood. Upon arrival on-scene, the male was transported by ambulance to a local hospital from which he was flown to another hospital.
- Police are investigating a report of a stolen vehicle.
- While on patrol, police observed a male who was seated outside a local business with his head down on a picnic table. Contact was made with the male who police say was intoxicated; he was released to a sober adult.
- Police recovered a cell phone along Bigler Avenue.
- Police received a report about a suspicious person walking along North Front Street. Upon arrival on-scene, contact was made and it was found the person was picking up trash.
- Police received a report about a suspicious male inside a business on North Second Street. Upon arrival on-scene, contact was made with the male who police say was intoxicated. He was provided a ride home and released to a sober adult.
- Police received a report about a motorcycle traveling at a high rate of speed on Bigler Avenue. The investigation is continuing at this time.
- Police responded to a report of an animal inside the attic of a residence.
- Police responded to a noise complaint on East Locust Street.
Lawrence Township
- While on routine patrol Monday, police observed a wanted male driving in the area of the Clearfield-Shawville Highway in Lawrence Township. According to police, a traffic stop was initiated in order to conduct a warrant service on 26-year-old Tyler J. Knepp of Clearfield. During the stop, drug paraphernalia was observed in plain view; a subsequent search of the vehicle allegedly turned up a handgun for which Knepp didn’t possess a permit and a large amount of methamphetamine. Also, police say other drug-related items and paraphernalia were located, such as pills, stamp bags and various pipes and scales. Knepp was taken into custody on the warrant with additional charges pending.
- Police conducted a traffic stop Sunday in the area of Washington Avenue and Village Road that resulted in a drug violation. Upon investigation, it was found a 45-year-old Morrisdale woman was driving a vehicle with the wrong license plate, while also not having a valid driver’s license or inspection. A search of the vehicle allegedly turned up several, small bags of methamphetamine and related drug paraphernalia. Police say the vehicle was towed from the scene and charges are pending against the woman for possession of a controlled substance.
DuBois City
- Police responded to a two-vehicle crash Tuesday in the area of First Street and DuBois Avenue. No injuries were reported as a result, and one vehicle was towed from the scene at the owner’s request.
- Police received a report about a suspicious couple at a local business on Tuesday. Upon arrival on-scene, contact was made and they were requested to the leave the property.
- Police arrested a 43-year-old DuBois man for drug possession following a traffic stop on Tuesday. He was allegedly found in possession of marijuana, methamphetamine and heroin.
- On Wednesday police received a report from a DuBois woman who said her dog was possibly euthanized and disposed of without her knowledge or consent. The investigation is continuing at this time.
- Police were requested to check on the welfare of pedestrian Wednesday on DuBois Avenue. Upon arrival in the area, contact was made and the male was found to be OK.
- On Wednesday, Children, Youth and Family Services was assisted with removing a juvenile from a home and placing them into a care facility. In the report, police noted that the family complied, and there weren’t any arrests made.
- Police received a report about a suspicious female Wednesday on North Main Street. Upon arrival on-scene, contact was made and officers found she had active warrants. She was subsequently arrested and turned over to the county Sheriff’s Department.
- Police received a report about an active burglar alarm Thursday at a South Brady Street address. Upon arrival, everything was found to be OK.
- Police received a report Thursday about a runaway juvenile. He returned home several hours later, police say.
- On Thursday police arrested a 33-year-old DuBois man on domestic assault charges. He allegedly entered a woman’s place of employment and struck her several times. Then, he left. He’s currently lodged in the Clearfield County Jail.
- Police received a report about a disturbance Saturday at the DuBois Manor Motel. Upon arrival on-scene, contact was made and officers allegedly found a couple in possession of illegal narcotics and drug paraphernalia. Charges are currently pending at this time.
- Police responded to an active hold-up alarm Saturday at a business located in the 400 block of Beaver Drive. Upon arrival on-scene, it was found that everything was OK, and that the alarm was set off inadvertently.
- Police received a report about an unwanted male Saturday at a residence on West Washington Avenue. Upon arrival on-scene, contact was made with those involved and the male left without further incident.
- Police received a report about an intoxicated male lying in the grass Saturday next to a West Long Avenue business. Upon arrival on-scene, contact was made and the male was taken into custody. He was subsequently transported to his residence and released into the care of his wife.
