CLEARFIELD – This year marks the 100th anniversary of the American Legion and the American Legion Auxiliary.
To celebrate this event, the Clearfield American Legion John Lewis Shade Post No. 6 and its auxiliary will be hosting an anniversary ceremony at the post home on Sept. 7. The Memorial Wall will also be dedicated at this time.
The celebration will begin at 12 p.m., featuring Clearfield County District Attorney William A. Shaw Jr., as the guest speaker.
After the ceremony and wall dedication, the day will be filled with events such as live music, food, giveaways, raffles and more.
New Officers
Recently, new officers were installed at the Clearfield American Legion.
