Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about an incident of retail theft that occurred July 27 at the Wal-Mart Supercenter in Clearfield. During the incident, 33-year-old Andrew Seaburn from Clearfield allegedly took a T-shirt, valued at $12.44, without paying for it. Seaburn was cited through the district court.
- Police reported on a traffic stop that resulted in a drug-related DUI and warrant service Friday on state Route 879, near the Clark Street overpass, in Lawrence Township. Contact was made with the three occupants and it was found 41-year-old Tim Vaughn Jr. and 30-year-old Geri Cassick, both of Clearfield, had active warrants through the county’s Sheriff’s Office. It was also found the driver, a 39-year-old Clearfield man, was under the influence of controlled substance(s). He refused to submit to a legal blood draw, and when taken into custody, police say he was in possession of drug paraphernalia. All three were housed in county jail, and the driver will be charged with DUI/controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and various traffic offenses.
- Police received a report about a traffic violation July 26 on South Second Street in Lawrence Township. According to police, the suspect vehicle was located at Family Dollar, and its occupants were inside the store. When they came out, contact was made with a Curwensville couple who had allegedly shoplifted while inside. In addition, police say both were in possession of drug paraphernalia. Charges are currently pending at this time.
