State police at Clearfield

• State police received a report about a burglary that occurred between June 22 and Sunday on Main Street in Cooper Township. According to state police, someone forced open the victim’s basement door, then the entry door to the first floor. They allegedly rummaged through the residence and removed about $200 from the victim’s bedroom on the second floor. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police at 814-857-3800.
• State police received a report about an incident of terroristic threats that occurred June 27 on Jacks Run Road in Bradford Township. During the incident, a couple were involved in a verbal dispute that turned physical. A 45-year-old Woodland man allegedly grabbed the woman victim by her neck and squeezed it. State police say he also threatened to put a “bullet” in his relative’s head. Charges have been filed through the district court.
• State police responded to a motorcycle crash Sunday on Winburne-Munson Road in Cooper Township. According to the report, a 37-year-old Clearfield man was traveling north when he lost control for unknown reasons. The motorcycle subsequently hit the roadway, causing him to fall off. It continued to travel for approximately 63 feet until coming to a rest on the east shoulder. State police found the man lying face down approximately 12 feet off the east shoulder. He was transported by ambulance to UPMC Altoona with suspected serious injuries because STAT Medevac was unable to fly due to weather conditions. State police were assisted on-scene by the Winburne Volunteer Fire Co., Clearfield Fire Police, Moshannon Valley Emergency Medical Services and towing services. State police say the man will be cited for his involvement in the crash.

State police at Punxsutawney

• State police reported on a DUI that occurred June 27 in the 2700 block of the Cecil Hurd Highway in Bell Township. During a traffic stop, a 40-year-old Olanta man was allegedly found to be under the influence. Charges are currently pending at this time.

Clearfield Borough

• Police received a report about an intoxicated female in the area of the Clearfield Riverwalk.  She was located and arrested for public drunkenness.
• Police received a report of harassment by communications that involved neighbors on East Market Street.
• Police received multiple reports of syringes that were found lying on the ground. Police responded and collected the syringes.
• Lawrence Township police were assisted with a juvenile male who was reportedly under the influence.
• Police received a report of a suspicious male Saturday night on NW Fourth Avenue.  Upon arrival, officers found he was there waiting for a ride.
• Police received reports about fireworks that were being set off in town and disturbing neighbors.
• Police received a report about an alleged theft from a local residence.
• Police received a report about a young juvenile who was walking alone along Bigler Avenue.
• Police received a report about a utility pole fire on Barclay Street. Clearfield Borough firefighters were also on-scene and assisted with closure of the roadway until Penelec arrived.
• Police received a report about a hit-and-run crash on North Second Street. According to police, a vehicle was parked at a meter and its driver backed into another parked car, then left the scene.

Lawrence Township

• Police received a report about “suspicious items” found Saturday at the Clearfield County Jail. According to police, corrections officers related a female was recently brought in on several warrants. During an inventory of her personal items, they allegedly found a hypodermic needle and a Ziploc bag containing a white crystalized substance in her purse. Police say preliminary tests showed the substance was methamphetamine, and charges are pending further laboratory analysis.
• Police responded to a reported single-vehicle crash June 26 in the Clearfield Mall parking lot. According to police, a 20-year-old Clearfield man had a medical emergency and began to uncontrollably accelerate his vehicle through the lot. His vehicle subsequently impacted the mall at the former JCPenney store. The man sustained head injuries and was flown to UPMC Altoona for treatment; his passenger, a 20-year-old Philipsburg man, sustained head and arm injuries and was transported to the Clearfield Penn Highlands Hospital. Police were assisted by the Lawrence Township Fire Department and towing services.
• Police received a report about an incident of disorderly conduct that occurred Friday on Turnpike Avenue in Lawrence Township. According to police, information was received about two teens trying to force their way inside a home. Upon their arrival, police say the 17-year-old refused to listen and caused a disturbance. Police released the 18-year-old from the scene and the 17-year-old was transported to his home to be released to a parent. However, police say he became argumentative again, causing a second disturbance and was ultimately taken into custody; he was later released to the Juvenile Probation Department.

DuBois City

• On Friday police received a report about criminal mischief to a vehicle in the 200 block of South Highland Street. During the incident, someone had “messed” with the mirrors on the victim’s vehicle, as well as drawn on its tailgate in red marker.
• On Friday police received a report about an incident of harassment in the 500 block of Sunflower Drive. Upon arrival, contact was made with both parties who were told to cease contact with each other.
• On Saturday police encountered a 53-year-old Brockway man in the parking lot at the East Side Sports Bar, located at 318 W. DuBois Ave. While an officer spoke with the man, he was allegedly highly intoxicated and under the influence of alcohol. He was transported to his residence and cited for public drunkenness.
• Police received a report about a break-in Saturday in the 100 block of Robinson Street. Upon arrival on-scene, police located a male outside; however, it was learned another resident had permitted him to be inside. Police identified the 33-year-old male from Caledonia and discovered he had an active warrant in Elk County. After this was confirmed, police lodged the male in county jail.
• Police responded to a non-reportable crash Saturday in the area of West Weber Avenue and Chestnut Street. Upon arrival, the drivers had already exchanged information, and the vehicles were able to be driven from the scene.
• Police received a report about a female walking in and out of traffic Saturday in the area of East Washington Avenue and Brady Street. A witness told police they believed she was under the influence; she was located by police at her home. The female communicated that she planned to stay in for the night.
• Police received a report about an incident of trespassing Saturday in the 600 block of West Washington Avenue. Upon arrival, contact was made with the residence’s owner who indicated the individuals were permitted to be there.
• Police received a report about a disorderly female Saturday on West DuBois Avenue. Upon arrival, it was found the female had already left but she was advised not to return or she’d face arrest.
• Police received a report about an unwanted male Saturday in the 200 block of South Brady Street. Upon police arrival, the male agreed to leave without further incident.
• On Sunday police conducted a traffic stop on West Scribner Avenue and determined the male driver was allegedly under the influence of alcohol. He was subsequently arrested for DUI and lodged in county jail on a 48-hour detainer.
• Police received a report about a verbal dispute Sunday in the 100 block of Evergreen Street. Upon arrival, police say the two individuals agreed to leave and not cause any more trouble.
• Police received a report about an incident of trespassing Sunday in the 200 block of South Brady Street. Upon arrival, police were unable to locate anyone on-scene.
