CLEARFIELD – A Philipsburg man accused of sending an obscene video to a teen girl was sentenced to state prison Friday.
Hunter Thomas Harris, 25, pleaded guilty to felony counts of obscene materials, unlawful contact with a minor as well as a misdemeanor count of corruption of minors.
He was sentenced by President Judge Fredric J. Ammerman to one to three years in state prison.
This sentence will run concurrent with a probation revocation sentence he received in August of two to six years in state prison.
Harris must comply with all conditions of Megan’s Law and will complete the Project Point of Light program.
According to the affidavit, in May of 2018, police responded to a report of a 15-year-old Cooper Township girl receiving messages and explicit images from Harris through Snapchat.
Harris originally contacted her through Facebook messenger and only responded “ughh lol” when she told him she was 16 years old.
After they connected on Snapchat, he asked her to send him photos with her top off. Instead, she sent him some old photos from Facebook.
He then sent her three photos of himself, two of which were naked shots. Next, he sent her a sexual video.
This led to the victim telling her step-mother who then called police.
In an interview with investigators, Harris admitted to sending her the photos and video.
