BOGGS TOWNSHIP – A motor vehicle crash claimed the life of an Osceola Mills man Friday evening in Boggs Township, Clearfield-based state police say.
According to the crash report, at approximately 5:15 p.m., Matthew W. McGarry, 25, was traveling south at a high rate of speed on the Drane Highway.
He reportedly failed to negotiate a right-hand curve, causing his Jeep Grand Cherokee to leave the roadway and strike a tree head-on. McGarry died as a result of the crash.
State police were assisted on-scene by the Hope Fire Company, Clearfield Emergency Medical Services, Clearfield County Coroner’s Office, towing services and PennDOT.
