CLEARFIELD – UGI Utilities Inc. will begin a natural gas main construction project in the borough of Clearfield the week of April 29.
The project is part of the Company’s GET (Growth Extension Tariff) Gas initiative designed to extend service to residents and businesses who currently do not have access to natural gas.
The natural gas main construction project will take place on the following streets:
- Dorey Street between East Sixth and East Ninth streets;
- East Sixth Street between Daisy Street and Fairview Avenue; and
- East Seventh Street, East Eighth Street and East Ninth Street between Dorey Street and Fairview Avenue.
During construction hours, residents and commuters should expect delays and parking restrictions. Traffic will be restricted to one lane.
Construction hours are scheduled from 7 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Flaggers will direct traffic in the area. Construction is expected to be completed by the end of May.
UGI appreciates the patience and understanding of residents as the company completes this long-term infrastructure improvement.
UGI will also be canvassing homes door-to-door during this time period to gauge interest in natural gas service.
