Melissa Kimla of Northern Cambria has announced her candidacy as the Republican candidate for Cambria County Recorder of Deeds.
She previously worked in the Recorder of Deeds Office until 2017. She began her public service there as a clerk.
Because of her positive work ethic and dedication to serving the citizens of Cambria County, she quickly advanced to the position of head recording clerk.
Her experience in that office instilled in her the ability and desire to provide all county residents with exceptional service.
She would now like to lead that office into providing even better service to all county residents.
Kimla previously served the public as a volunteer firefighter for 15 years. She is currently a member of the Spangler Legacy Committee, which is responsible for organizing the annual festival and hosting the annual Christmas parade. She has previously volunteered at the Duman’s Dam Halloween Hayride.
Kimla is a life-long resident of Cambria County and a graduate of Northern Cambria High School. She is married to John Kimla Jr. They have been married for nine years.
