CLEARFIELD – A suspect in a reported armed robbery at a local convenience store and a multi-jurisdiction crime spree is in police custody.
One incident occurred at 11:51 p.m. Monday at the Sheetz store, located at 14259 Clearfield-Shawville Hwy., Clearfield, according to a news release issued by Lawrence Township police.
In commission of this crime, the male allegedly brandished a handgun to an employee at the register. However, he fled the store without taking anything when another employee unexpectedly entered this area.
Police say the suspect was involved in a large string of crimes across multiple jurisdictions, including a convenience store robbery in Kylertown.
He was found a short time later by state police at Rockview in the Snow Shoe area and taken into custody. Charges are currently pending at this time.
