Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about an ongoing domestic disturbance Wednesday at the Lawrence Park Village. During the incident, a 35-year-old Clearfield man allegedly threatened to harm his girlfriend with a large knife. He was subsequently taken into custody and put in county jail for terroristic threats.
- Police responded to a motor vehicle crash that occurred Tuesday at the intersection of Bigler Avenue and Woodland Road. According to police, a vehicle driven by Dana J. Blough, 46, of Altoona turned left onto Woodland Road. However, she failed to yield to oncoming traffic that was traveling straight at the intersection. As a result, her vehicle was struck by another driven by Robert J. Jager, 83, of Woodland. No injuries were reported in the crash, and both vehicles were driven from the scene.
DuBois City
- Police received a report about an open door Sunday at the storage shed in the Rumbarger Cemetery. Upon arrival, police didn’t observe any footprints in the snow and they shut the door.
- Police received a report about a water problem Sunday at the WPAL facility on East Long Avenue. Upon arrival, police found there was a water line break and made contact with the on-call city worker. He advised he would respond and handle the problem.
- Police responded to a motor vehicle crash Sunday in front of Giant Eagle. According to police, a female driver pulled into a parking space next to a white-colored Jeep, and her GMC Envoy “slightly” hit it. Because she was worried about the vehicle she hit, she “bumped” into a pick-up truck. Police did observe minor damage to the Jeep, including a fresh paint transfer and scratch marks. Police spoke to the owners of the Jeep and Ram truck, and assisted with the exchange of information.
- Police were requested to assist emergency personnel with an elderly fall patient who was reportedly being combative. According to police, the male was refusing to go with EMS. However, due to his weakened state, personnel were able to load and transport him. Police didn’t observe anything criminal in nature and were able to clear the scene.
