CLEARFIELD – The Clearfield County Commissioners addressed several miscellaneous items of business at Tuesday’s regular meeting.
The commissioners:
- approved the 902 Development and Implementation Grant at the request of County Planning and Solid Waste Authority Director Jodi Brennan. Brennan said these grant funds will be used to advertise the authority’s recycling programs.
- approved advertising for proposals for the review of environmental records for the county’s Community Development Block Grant projects at the request of Brennan.
- approved certifying county funds for the Farmland Preservation Program at the request of Brennan.
- approved the re-appointments of Charles Muth, Carlene Pearce, Eric Fox, Michael Holibaugh and Henry Daugherty to the county’s Farmland Preservation Board.
- approved an ordinance to increase the administrative fee collected by the county treasurer from 2 percent to 4 percent, as permissible under law.
- approved a resolution certifying the county’s local match for the Area Transportation Authority.
- approved advertising for bids for a van for the county prison.
- approved a purchase of service agreement with Merakey Pennsylvania.
- approved a linkage agreement between the county and Service Access & Management Inc.
- announced a petition has been received to relocate the Grampian Borough polling location from the Grampian Fire Hall to the St. Bonaventure Church.
- approved the appointment of Joe Kelly to the Assessment Appeals Board.
- approved the hiring of Steven Smith, part-time Telecommunicator/911, effective Jan. 14.
- approved the transfers of William Chase, part-time/Special Deputy to full-time Deputy Sheriff/Sheriff’s Office, effective Jan. 14, and Paula Bell Owens, Department Clerk II/Register & Recorder to DC III/Register & Recorder, effective Jan. 16.
- approved the separations of Michael Horton, full-time Telecommunicator/911, effective Jan. 8; Autumn Burke-Dempsey, Caseworker/Children & Youth Services, effective, Jan. 25; Brittany Johnson, Probation Officer/Adult Probation, effective Feb. 1; and Daniel Spencer, Deputy Director of Planning/Emergency Management Agency, effective Feb. 1
- approved an employee leave for up to 12 weeks, FMLA, commencing Jan. 1.
- approved the bills as presented by the Controller’s Office.
