BELLEFONTE – The Clearfield boys basketball team took a journey to Bellefonte on Tuesday night to play the Red Raiders in Mountain League action.
Bellefonte won all four quarters against the Bison to pick up a 78-56 victory.
The Bison hung with the Red Raiders over the first half and trailed 30-21 at the break.
It was the second 16 minutes where Bellefonte got the offense rolling, scoring 24 points in the third and again in the fourth to take a 48-35 second half.
Bison head coach Nate Glunt said after the game, “I thought Bellefonte executed their offensive and defensive game plan and played very well.”
Cade Walker had a big game for the Bison with a game high 32 points followed by Karson Rumsky with 17.
Bellefonte was paced on offense by Noah Badger with 25 points, while Ben McCartney hit for 23 and Nate Tice added 11.
Clearfield dropped below .500 for the first time this season at 6-7 and now stands at 2-5 in the Mountain League.
The Bison have off until Friday when they travel to play Bald Eagle Area in another Mountain League tilt with the JVs starting at 6 pm and the varsity to immediately follow.
Clearfield defeated BEA in mid-December 73-48 on the Bison home floor.
