CURWENSVILLE – An afternoon fire has rendered a trailer as a total loss.
According to Curwensville Rescue Hose and Ladder Fire Chief Shawn Fye, the fire department was called to a working structure fire on Douglas Road at 1:04 p.m. Monday.
When fire crews arrived, there was heavy smoke showing. Fye said crews worked for about 2.5 hours to extinguish the blaze. Crews from Curwensville, Lawrence Township, Hyde, Glen Richey, Grampian-Penn-Bloom, Clearfield and Madera responded.
No one was home at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is still under investigation and the trailer is believed to be a total loss.
