CLEARFIELD – Veterans who live in the 73rd Legislative District are encouraged to take advantage of a service being offered by state Rep. Tommy Sankey (R-Clearfield/Cambria) in January, in cooperation with the Pennsylvania American Legion.
“The new year is a good time for veterans to take a look at the benefits they are receiving and review them with a professional to ensure they are receiving all they have earned through their service and sacrifice,” said Sankey.
“We owe the men and women who serve and have served our country a tremendous debt of gratitude for all they have done for us and offering them assistance is just one way we can begin to repay that debt.”
Each month, a representative from the American Legion visits Sankey’s district offices to answer individual questions and discuss issues such as pensions, compensation, educational opportunities and health care.
In January, representatives will be at both Sankey’s Clearfield and Hastings offices on Tuesday, Jan. 15, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Clearfield office is located at 315 E. Market St., while the Hastings office can be found at 264 Haida Ave.
Appointments are necessary and may be scheduled by calling 814-765-0609 or 814-247-6210. You do not need to be a member of the American Legion to take advantage of this service.
