CLEARFIELD – The Clearfield County Salary Board approved the salaries of elected officials and non-union salaried employees on Tuesday.
The board noted that the salaries of all elected officials will remain frozen in 2019, with exception of the district attorney. The DA’s salary is set by the commonwealth.
The board unanimously approved the list of salaries for the elected officials. However, Controller Tom Adamson voted against the list of salaries for non-union salaried employees.
Prior to the vote, Adamson said if the county was taking its budget crisis “seriously,” it would freeze the salaries of the employees in management positions.
He went on to add that if the salaries of the elected officials were frozen, then so should be the salaries of those in management positions.
