SNOWSHOE TWP. — Officials with the Pennsylvania Game Commission are asking for the public’s help after they say an elk and her calf were killed illegally in Centre County.
The cow and her calf were found in Sproul State Forest in Snowshoe Twp., according to the game commission.
Officials believe the elk were killed during the two-week rifle deer season in November.
The game commission asks anyone with information to call their Northcentral Region Office at 570-398-4744 or the Operation Game Thief Hotline at 1-888-PGC-8001.
