CLEARFIELD – Clearfield Borough police have a juvenile in custody after an investigation into a reported armed robbery Thursday night at Pantry Petroleum.
According to police, a male entered the store, located along Bigler Avenue, at closing time. He allegedly brandished a handgun and demanded money.
Police say the employee complied with demands, as the suspect was pointing the gun at her. He then fled with an amount of money. Officers, however, were able to track the male to his residence due to a fresh snowfall.
At this time, police found the male was a juvenile. They were able to recover the money and the firearm; he was subsequently taken into custody.
Police turned the male over to the Clearfield County Juvenile Probation Department. Lawrence Township police assisted with the incident.
