DUBOIS – The Greater DuBois Chamber of Commerce and its board of directors recently decided to terminate its gift check program.
Any who holds a Chamber gift check can redeem it through June 30, 2019. The Chamber and its board believe “there is a better way to encourage local spending.”
Instead, the Chamber is exploring the possibility of offering a gift card program, according to Executive Director Jodi K. August.
She said in the meantime, they hope this doesn’t cause an inconvenience to its members and the community, as plans begin to take shape to implement the new program.
August said it’s the Chamber’s goal to have the gift card program available in October of next year.
