KELLYTOWN – The Clearfield County Historical Society’s 14th annual Apple Cider Outing and Open House will be held at its Bloody Knox Log Cabin in Kellytown.
The cabin is located on route 453 in Knox Township. All are welcome to this free, family event. Attendees can come help make cider, rope, butter and shell corn.
Attendees can watch demonstrations on spinning yarn, making corn brooms and sauerkraut and blacksmithing, plus visit a Civil War medical display. You can also enjoy free samples, and the first 100 kids will get a free pumpkin to decorate.
The event will be held Sunday, Oct. 14 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. with the egg toss contest at 2 p.m. For more information or questions, please call the CCHS at 814-765-6125.
