DUBOIS – Officer Casey Doherty of the DuBois City police observed a random act of kindness while he was picking up his lunch Monday at the South Brady Subway.
According to Doherty, a seeing-impaired customer asked the employee who was helping her if there was a patch of grass nearby where her seeing-eye dog could relieve itself.
He told her that the only nearby grass was between the sidewalk and the road, but it was dangerous because of the traffic. He held her hand and walked her out, in the cold and pouring down rain, and stood with her and her dog.
