BRADFORD TOWNSHIP – A wanted 36-year-old Clearfield man, Kevin Straw, was jailed on a warrant Tuesday and is facing charges for drug possession and resisting arrest.
According to the Clearfield-based state police, a traffic stop was conducted at 10:31 a.m. on Post Office Road in Bradford Township. It was found Straw had active warrants for his arrest.
While he was being taken into custody, state police say Straw resisted and fled on foot into a wooded area. A pursuit ensued and Straw was apprehended a short time later.
He was found to be in possession of suspected methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and a prohibited offensive weapon. He was lodged in county jail on a warrant.
State police will file charges of drug possession, use/possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting arrest and prohibited offensive weapon, plus summary traffic violations through the district court in Kylertown.
