CLEARFIELD – The Clearfield school board is seeking letters of interest in order to fill a vacated board seat.
On Monday night, the board approved the resignation of board member Randy Pataky, effective immediately. Pataky had submitted his resignation to the board president earlier in the day.
Pataky was originally appointed to fill a vacant board seat in August of 2015. He retained that seat after being elected in 2017, according to previous GANT News reports.
Anyone with interest in serving on the school board is asked to please submit a letter to the district’s administrative office.
Letters should be sent to board secretary, Kayla Caragein, 2831 Washington Ave., Clearfield, PA 16830 by no later than Sept. 10.
The board will consider interested persons at its Sept. 17 meeting.
In addition, the board approved the resignation of Rick Bunning, buildings and grounds director, for retirement purposes, effective Aug. 31.
Bunning’s resignation is contingent upon the final approval of his retirement letter and subject to confirmation and reconciliation of his available personal time.
Bunning has served as the district’s building and grounds director for approximately 10 years.
