State police at Clearfield
- State police reported on a death investigation that began Saturday at a Lake Street residence in Bradford Township. State police say a known 28-year-old Woodland man died, and the investigation into his death is ongoing. No foul play is suspected.
- State police received a report about an alleged sexual assault that occurred Saturday on Deer Creek Road in Morrisdale. State police are continuing their investigation at this time.
- State police received a report about an incident of theft, fraud and forgery that occurred July 16 on Decatur Street in Chester Hill Borough. During the incident, someone allegedly scammed a Morrisdale woman by using her EBT Access Card at Sheetz in Philipsburg without her permission. The EBT card had been removed from her residence. State police are continuing their investigation at this time.
- State police received a report about an incident of theft that occurred between July 4 and Friday in a wooded area near Gray Hollow Road in Morris Township. During the incident, someone allegedly removed numerous posted signs from a Delta, Pa., man’s property and then fled the area. - State police received a report about an incident of criminal mischief that occurred between July 12 and Friday in the area of Knobs Road in Girard Township. During the incident, someone allegedly cut the chain on an entrance gate to gain access to the property. Once on the property, state police say they vandalized several buildings before fleeing the area. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police at 814-857-3800.
- State police received a report about an incident of harassment that occurred Saturday on Interstate 80 eastbound in Cooper Township. During the incident, a woman allegedly shoved another woman into the side of a vehicle door. Then, the first woman was elbowed in the face by the second woman’s son. Injuries to the women were consistent with domestic violence.
State police at DuBois
- State police received a report about an attempted burglary that occurred sometime July 18-19 in the 100 block of East Main Street in Sykesville Borough. During the incident, someone allegedly attempted to break into a woman’s house. The resident told state police she noticed marks on her door that were not there before. - State police reported an incident of DUI that occurred Saturday on the Reynoldsville – Sykesville Road in Winslow Township. According to state police, a 63-year-old Reynoldsville man was stopped for a summary traffic violation. While speaking with him, state police allegedly detected signs of impairment and a strong odor of alcohol coming from his breath. He was subsequently arrested for DUI along with other summary offenses. Charges are currently pending the receipt of blood test results.
- State police received a report about an incident of theft that occurred July 16 at a Short Street residence in Falls Creek Borough. During the incident, someone allegedly stole Jordan Galaxy basketball shoes. The shoes were a blue and teal sequence and size 11; the shoes were inside a box and expected to be delivered by mail that morning. State police at Philipsburg
- State police received a report about a burglary that occurred Saturday at the Vape Attix in Philipsburg Borough. During the incident, three juveniles allegedly broke a window to gain access to the business and then removed assorted items. Upon investigation, state police were able to identify the juveniles. Charges will be filed through the Centre County Juvenile Probation Department.
- State police received a report about an alleged assault incident that occurred July 7 on Spike Island Road in Rush Township. State police say a couple engaged in a physical domestic dispute. No further information was provided in the report.
State police at Punxsutawney
- State police received a report about a theft that occurred between May 13 and May 20 at the Brookville Manor. During the incident, someone entered a man’s room and allegedly removed two rings. State police are continuing their investigation and anyone with information is asked to call 814-938-0510.
State police at Ridgway
- State police reported an incident of DUI that occurred Saturday on East Main Street in Ridgway Borough. During a traffic stop, a 46-year-old Johnsonburg woman was allegedly found to be driving under the influence of alcohol. Charges will be filed through the district court.
- State police reported an incident of DUI that occurred Friday on Boot Jack Road in Ridgway Township. During a traffic stop, a 55-year-old Ridgway man was allegedly found to be driving under the influence of alcohol. He was subsequently transported to Penn Highlands Elk for a legal blood draw; charges are currently pending receipt of test results.
- State police received a report about an incident of theft that occurred Friday on Marvin Street in Jones Township. During the incident, someone allegedly removed prescription medications that belonged to a Wilcox woman.
- State police received a report about an incident of criminal mischief that occurred sometime between July 12 and July 16 on Hill Road in Jones Township. During the incident, someone allegedly drove through a yard, causing approximately $300 worth of damage. State police are continuing their investigation at this time. - State police received a report about a motor vehicle theft that occurred Saturday or Sunday on Highland Road in Highland Township. During the incident, someone allegedly stole a white 2013 Ford F-150 pick-up truck. The truck has the Pennsylvania registration of ZDK2812. Clearfield Borough
- Police received a report about an orange capped syringe that was located along the sidewalk on Clark Street. Police responded and retrieved the syringe.
- Police received a report about an elderly male who was walking in the roadway along U.S. Route 322. Police located the male who was in need of transportation to his home, and police were able to assist him.
- Police are investigating an incident, during which an adult male allegedly purchased and provided cigarettes to a juvenile.
- Police reported that a male who had two active warrants arrived at the station. He was able to satisfy the warrants.
- Police reported that a vehicle was entered and a wallet was removed along East Cherry Street.
- Police were unable to catch a loose dog in the area of East Market Street.
- Police were requested to assist emergency personnel with gaining entry to a Leavy Avenue residence. However, they were cancelled while en route because entry was made.
- Police received a report about a large tree that had fallen in the area of Leavy Avenue and South Second Street. Upon arrival, police found that a large limb had fallen, which also took a power line. The Clearfield Fire Department and Penelec assisted at the scene.
- Police received a report about a female who was operating a vehicle without a license and who may be intoxicated in the area of Nichols Street. Police searched the area and were unable to locate the vehicle.
- Police responded to a 911 hang-up call on Daisy Street. Upon arrival, police found that a person had unknowingly dialed 911.
- Police received a report about a disturbance on East Pine Street. Upon arrival, police located a male who was highly intoxicated outside and who had an arrest warrant through the Clearfield County Sheriff’s Office. He was arrested and transported to the jail.
Lawrence Township
- Police conducted a traffic stop due to an equipment violation Saturday in the Sheetz parking lot. According to police, a male driver was traveling with his 12-year-old daughter while under the influence of unknown controlled substances. Upon further investigation, the male was allegedly found with an unlabeled pill bottle that was located in the center console of his vehicle. The bottle contained various amounts of pills and a straw with residue. Police transported the male to the hospital for a legal blood draw, and charges will be filed against him.
- Police conducted a traffic stop, due to an expired inspection, on July 19 in the area of Riverview Road. Upon making contact with the driver, he allegedly provided the officer with false information with regards to identifying himself. He was eventually identified and it was determined he had lied to the officer in an effort to avoid a citation. Charges have been filed against the male for the incident.
- Police reported on an incident of DUI that occurred Saturday on Woodland Road. According to police, a vehicle operated by an Osceola Mills woman was stopped for various offenses. Upon making contact, it was discovered that she was allegedly under the influence of alcohol to the degree that it rendered her incapable of operating a vehicle in a safe manner. She ultimately refused to provide a blood sample when it was requested, and she was released to a sober person. Charges were filed against the woman for the incident.
