CLEARFIELD – A partnership is in the works that would allow Clearfield County Government to provide school security to the Moshannon Valley Area School District.
The commissioners met with Sheriff Mike Churner and MVSD Superintendent Dr. John Zesiger to discuss developing an agreement for a deputy sheriff to provide school security.
On Tuesday County Solicitor Kim Kesner reported that he’d drafted an agreement upon request. He said it had been reviewed by Churner and Commissioner Chairman John Sobel.
Kesner said there weren’t any requested revisions by Churner and the drafted agreement was ready to be delivered to the school district. Sobel said he would make arrangements to have Churner deliver it.
Per the advice of Kesner, the commissioners agreed not to take any action on the agreement until it’s been reviewed by school officials at Moshannon Valley.
