State police at DuBois
- State police reported on a high-speed pursuit that occurred Monday night along U.S. Route 322 and Helvetia Road in Union Township. According to state police, a motorcycle was observed traveling at a high rate of speed on Route 322 east in Rockton. The trooper clocked its speed at 82 miles per hour with his radar gun. He pulled out to pursue the motorcycle, and it reportedly accelerated up to 95 miles per hour. The trooper pursued the motorcycle for several miles while weaving in and out of traffic before it turned onto Helvetia Road in Luthersburg. He followed the motorcycle for another 1.5 miles before terminating the pursuit for the safety of the surrounding community. State police described the motorcycle as being a “black cruiser style” with a blue LED light on its back. It also had a black bag strapped to its rear, which partially covered the registration plate. Its driver was described as wearing a black leather jacket with tan sleeves and a black helmet. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police at 814-371-4652.
State police at Philipsburg
- State police reported on a drug-related incident that occurred June 7 in Philipsburg Borough. A vehicle stop was conducted by a trooper and a Philipsburg male was allegedly in possession of drugs, paraphernalia and a firearm. He was taken into custody and arraigned through the district court.
Clearfield Borough
- Police received a report about loud music on East Walnut Street. Police made contact with the persons and advised them of the complaint. They agreed to turn down the music.
- Police responded to the River Road area after a report about a female who appeared to be under influence or in need of mental health help. Police searched the area and were unable to locate the female.
- Police responded to East Locust Street after a report about large limbs that had fallen from a tree, causing a traffic hazard.
- Police stopped a vehicle along U.S. Route 322 for a traffic violation. The driver was allegedly under the influence of alcohol and controlled substances. Charges are pending after a blood analysis.
- Police received a report about an incident of criminal mischief on Witmer Street. Police concluded that the damage occurred due to structural issues, not from intentional damage.
- Police responded to an activated alarm on North Second Street. Police made contact and found everything was OK.
- Police responded to a barking dog complaint along North Fifth Street. Police made contact with the owner who took the dog inside.
- Police received a report about a couple engaged in an altercation on East Market Street. Upon arrival, police learned that the altercation was verbal in nature.
Lawrence Township
- Police responded to an incident of public intoxication and disorderly conduct that occurred Monday into Tuesday in the Kerr Addition area. According to police, several reports were received about a female, identified as Kristin L. McBride, who was under the influence and knocking on doors on Beeches Road and in Kerr Addition. She was reportedly trying to “spread the word of the Lord” and to enter homes. Police were dispatched to the area on three, separate occasions between 10:46 p.m. and 3:46 a.m. At a later time, police were able to locate McBride and she was found to be under the influence of controlled substances. She was taken into custody and housed at the county jail on a probation detainer due to her failure to appear for revocation court on the previous date. Police have filed citations against McBride as a result of the incident.
